Regulations
The Code of Federal Regulations provides the details and rules governing how federal law as described in the
Federal Register is to be carried out and interpreted. The Code of Federal Regulations is divided into 50 titles, covering broad subject areas, which are in turn organized into chapters bearing the name (usually) of the issuing agency. The Code of Federal Regulations is revised at least annually. A subject index is available as a separate volume.
Montana Tech has paper copies of the Code of Federal Regulations dating from 1987. Electronic searching of The Code of Federal Regulations is available free, being a government publication, over the internet.
