    1.  On-Campus Recruiting Terminology

Alternate – Any student that may not meet the specific criteria during the first round of screening, but may be eligible if there is an open timeslot.

Career Events – View the scheduled events sponsored by Career Services, such as the Career Fair, Workshops, and Information Sessions.

Future Schedules – A list of all available schedules whether or not a student is qualified to interview. Students may check to see all schedules that will be coming up in the future by clicking on Schedules, then choosing Future Schedules. Then by selecting applicable criteria and clicking on the Search button, you will get a list of schedules for which you may be qualified.

Information Session – The meeting which is usually on the evening prior to the first day of interviews. All students are encouraged to attend these Information Sessions, and especially students who will be interviewing with the company hosting the session.

Interview Timeslot – The time period in which a student signs up on a session for an interview.

Job Search – Current job information posted on DIGGERecruiting can be searched for and viewed by clicking on Job Search and selecting applicable criteria for jobs that match your objectives.

Legal Release Statement – A statement in which students must agree to so that Career Services may release their resumes and transcripts to employers.

On-Campus Recruiting Policy – In order to participate in on-campus recruiting, students must agree to abide by the policy of unexcused absences, no-shows or cancellations.

Qualified Schedules – A list of schedules in which a student may be qualified for an interview.

Register – The process in which a student or employer signs up to be part of DIGGERecruiting.

RSVP – Students are required to RSVP their attendance at the Information Sessions, and may RSVP for other career events and automatically receive reminders on their DIGGERecruiting calendar.

Session – A session is a list of interview details and timeslots that are available to the student to sign-up with a specific recruiter. There may be multiple sessions for a schedule posted on DIGGERecruiting.

Schedule – On-campus interview posting information, including the job description, timeline and requirements for students to be able to sign-up.

Schedule ID – Is a reference number assigned to identify a particular schedule.

Student & Employer Profile – This is the part of your registration where your personal information is located. For students, this includes demographics, skills, and any additional information. For employers, this includes your company and contact information.

Timeline – A series of dates that act as system deadlines for interview sign-up activity.

Waiting List – Once all timeslots are filled on the Interview Schedule, any students who wish to sign-up will instead be asked if they want to be added to the waiting list. If a timeslot becomes available because a student cancels, it will be filled by one of the following methods: (1) The first student on the waiting list will be notified by email, and after a certain amount of time passes if that student hasn't signed up, all students on the waiting list will be sent an email. Or (2) All students may be emailed at the same time, and the first one that logs in and signs up will fill the open interview timeslot. NOTE: If a significant number of students sign on the waiting list, an employer may choose to open another schedule. In this case, all students would be emailed and the schedule will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    2.  Types of Schedules

    Open Schedule

An Open Schedule is a schedule in which a student who meets the posted requirements for the position, without having to be accepted by the employer, may sign up for an interview timeslot on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Current Sign-up Method:

    1. Sign-up Open – This is the first day students who meet the requirements can sign-up for an interview timeslot. Students can start signing up at 11:05 PM (Mountain Time) the night before.
    2. Sign-up Closed – This is the last day students can sign-up for an interview timeslot. Students can sign-up until 10:59 PM (Mountain Time).
    3.

    Preselect Schedule

A Preselect Schedule involves the employer screening the student resumes and selecting the students for the schedule. Students who meet the requirements can request an interview, but the employer ultimately accepts which students can sign-up for an interview timeslot.

    Current Sign-up Method:

    1. Request Period Open – This is the first day students who meet the requirements can request an interview. They will need to submit their resume and any other required documents. The request period opens at 11:05 PM (Mountain Time) the night before .
    2. Request Period Closed – This is the last day students can request an interview. Once this deadline is reached, employers review interview requests and make decisions on all interview candidates. The request period closes at 10:59 PM (Mountain Time).
    3. Accepted Students Sign-up Open – This is the first day that "accepted" students may sign-up for an interview timeslot. Accepted students can start signing up at 11:05 PM (Mountain Time) the night before.
    4. Alternate Students Sign-up Open (optional) – This is the first day that "alternate" students may sign-up for an interview timeslot. Alternate students may start signing up at 11:05 PM (Mountain Time) the night before.
    5. Sign-up Closed – This is the last day "accepted" and "alternate" students may sign-up for an interview timeslot. Students may sign-up until 10:59 PM (Mountain Time).

    Preselect Continuous Schedule

A Preselect Continuous Schedule is a schedule in which qualified students may request an interview until the date for continuous requests is closed. Recruiters may continuously prescreen and select students until they have a full session. When the date for continuous requests closes, employers may choose alternates for this type of schedule, or they may choose to add an additional interview session if there is sufficient interest.

    Current Sign-up Method:

    1. Preselect Continuous Open To Requests – This is the first day students who meet the requirements can request an interview. They will need to submit their resume and any other required documents. The request period opens at 11:05 PM (Mountain Time) the night before.
    2. Preselect Continuous Closed To Requests – This is the last day students can request an interview. The request period closes at 10:59 PM (Mountain Time).
    3. Sign-up Closed – This is the last day "accepted" students can sign-up for an interview timeslot. Students can sign-up until 10:59 PM (Mountain Time).

IMPORTANT: At any time until the Preselect Continuous Closed To Requests deadline, employers can review the interview requests and make interview selections (including alternates) on an ongoing basis. After the Sign-up Closed date is reached, employers will no longer be able to make any interview selections.

    Combined Schedule

A Combined Schedule is a Preselect Schedule followed by an Open Schedule.
