Mineral Processing Applications

The Center’s hands-on industrial experience and fully equipped mineral processing laboratory provides CAMP engineers the ability to accommodate large and small scale projects. The Center’s capabilities include process design, modeling, evaluation, and testing in:

• Crushing, Grinding, Classification
• Flotation
• Gravity, Magnetic, Electrostatic, and Heavy Media Separations
• Knelson Concentration
• Bond Work Indices
• Sieve Analysis

Hydrometallurgical Applications

CAMP engineers have extensive, hands-on, Industrial and R&D Hydrometallurgical expertise gained from many years in plant and laboratory settings. From pre-feasibility bench scale testing through plant process design and auditing, the Center offers a broad spectrum of hydrometallurgical services.

Analytical Support

CAMP can determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of your samples through our extensive analytical capabilities which include:

• X–ray Diffraction/X–ray Fluorescence
• EDAX – Scanning Electron Microscopy
• Petrographic Analysis
• Metallographic Analysis
• Aqueous Speciation Modeling

The Center provides a full range of chemical analysis in support of projects including:

• ICP
• Ion Chromatography
• Fire Assay
• Wet Chemistry
• Sulfur and Carbon Analysis

Collaborative Industrial Research Programs

The Center offers an innovative program to promote long term collaborative industrial participation with the Center. The Industrial Partner program provides access to the center at the lowest possible cost and offers some unique services not otherwise available under regular contract agreements. A current Industrial Partner is Stillwater Mining Company.
