Labs and Resources

Dear Bright Prism Teacher Attendees,

First, let me extend my gratitude and admiration to all of you who produced these class-room ready, engineering-science labs. All of these labs show the high level of your committment to education reconfirming that you are truely Bright Prisms.

These labs are for your use in classrooms as you see fit, and I'm sure you will put them to good use. I hope that all Bright Prism attendees will network with other attendees, regardless of year attended, especially if you are somewhat unfamiliar with anything in the labs included here. Please feel free to call me also if you need some clarification on the labs presented.

Some of the labs are more technically complex than others so we caution everyone that you as the instructor need to be familiar with the reagents, equipment and dangers before employing them. By using any of these labs, you are assuming all of the responsibility for your safety and that of your students and staff. Montana Tech is posting the labs as a service to you, but because we have no control over the application, equipment, training, supervision and safety proceedures of your classrooms and laboratories, you must accept all risk and liability in their use. For this reason Montana Tech requires that you do not reveal your username and password with other teachers that have not attended the Bright Prism short course and received some instruction in safety.

By now each of you should have received a username and password in order to access these labs. If not please contact me for one. The password will change periodically and I will get the new password out to you before that happens. If you don't see your lab posted here, please contact me. I need your your copyright wavier in hand before I can post your lab.

I anticipate that you may want to make improvements to your lab as your experience in using them offers new insights. Please send the new improved documents to me and I will post them in place of the old ones. Please contact me also if you would like additional classroom lab presentations.

Sincerely,

Craig Byington
