SCHOLARSHIPS

Montana Tech offers over $1.4 million in scholarships to each new incoming class. We encourage all students who apply for admission to apply for scholarships as you may be surprised by what’s available and how much you could receive. While there are hundreds of scholarships available, some of the most sought after are listed below. To help make the scholarship process a bit easier, we have developed a general scholarship application that considers you for all scholarships for which you qualify, all you have to do is fill out the application by January 15th and we will take care of the rest. Keep in mind that all scholarships are competitive so apply early and every year; there is an additional $2 to $3 million in scholarships available for continuing students.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE):

Awarded to students who demonstrate high academic achievement, WUE scholarships are open to all degree programs at Montana Tech. The cost of attendance for a student receiving the Western Undergraduate Exchange will be 150% of in-state tuition for up to 4.5 years, provided the student remains in good academic standing. This equates to over $8,800 in savings per year! You are guaranteed a WUE (or equivalent) if you are from one of the eligible Western states and meet the criteria listed below, and apply by January 15th.

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming

WUE Criteria:
3.0 GPA; with ACT Math > 24 or SAT Math > 560. WUEs may be available after the priority deadline contact an Enrollment Representative for more information.
