This is a group of Saudi Arabian students who came in January to the English Language Institute, posing with Stephanie Crowe, international admissions counselor and Margie Pascoe, foreign student advisor. this is on montana tech's campus right after a large snow storm!

Montana Tech requires proof of English Proficiency before you may study here. Currently, we require a TOEFL score of 71 internet-based, 195 computer-based or 525 paper-based.

If a student does not have the required English skills, we can offer conditional acceptance into Montana Tech. Conditional acceptance is dependent upon the student completing their English training at the English Language Institute (ELI). The ELI program is based out of The University of Montana in the city of Missoula. Although your first year of study will take place at The University of Montana, you are considered a Montana Tech student and are studying in the United States under a Montana Tech Form I 20.

For further information regarding English Proficiency, please refer to the Application Checklist.
