Area Attractions

Have the time of your life in Southwest Montana!

Your only problem is deciding what to do. "The College on theSkiing in MT Hill," as Tech is fondly called, is located in one of the truly remarkable areas of our country. The surrounding region is abundant in outdoor recreation and Rocky Mountain beauty.

The historic city of Butte is located midway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks providing outstanding opportunities for recreation.

Located just minutes from Butte are opportunities for downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, rock climbing, camping, hunting, hiking, world-class fishing, and much more. For the extreme athlete or the novice, these many activities are an excellent way to explore the great outdoors.

For the avid golfers, there are five courses within 30 miles of Butte, including "Old Works," a signature Jack Nicklaus golf course.

Or if you're more of a spectator, come and discover Montana history at many of the surrounding museums and national historic places such as the Copper King Mansion, World Museum of Mining, and the Museum of the Rockies. If you find yourself needing to unwind after a hard day of play let one of many natural hot springs in the area soothe your soul. You're sure to find it here and them some, no matter what your pleasure.
