Application Process
Step 1:
Arrange a campus visit at your earliest convenience. The best way to get a feel for Tech is to be here. Campus visits can be arranged around your schedule on Mondays through Fridays. Arrangements can be done online or by calling the Admissions Office at 1-800-445-TECH.
Step 2:
Register for and take the ACT or SAT test during your junior or senior year of high school. Please remember to have your results directed to Montana Tech.
Step 3:
Apply after your junior year in high school. You can fill out the on-line application now, or contact Montana Tech and have a copy sent to you. Either choice you make, please remember to have transcripts sent from your high school and/or other college(s) as appropriate.
Step 4:
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Jan. 1. The financial aid office must have access to a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must complete a FAFSA and indicate that you are considering attending Montana Tech.
Step 5:
Complete the Scholarship Application.
Step 6:
Respond to the orientation mailings after your admission. The first step is completion of the New Student Advising and Registration Process. Students are urged to complete this process in the summer. The second step for Orientation is attendance and participation. Orientation is MANDATORY for new students.
Step 7:
Priority deadline for Residence Hall housing is June 1. More information and housing applications are available on the Residence Life pages.
