Welcome

Montana Tech of The University of Montana is accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Accreditation is reviewed every ten years; and, a NWCCU Evaluation Committee will visit Tech in spring 2010. In preparation for that visit, Tech will conduct an institutional self-study to address the nine standards:

1. Institutional Mission and Goals, Planning and Effectiveness;
2. Educational Program and Its Effectiveness;
3. Students;
4. Faculty;
5. Library and Information Resources;
6. Governance and Administration;
7. Finance;
8. Physical Resources; and,
9. Institutional Integrity.

In spring 2008, the Accreditation Steering Committee (ASC) was formed to begin developing Tech’s 2010 Self Study. Tech’s Self Study will represent the efforts of faculty, staff, and students. The ASC encourages all sectors of the campus to participate in the process—Get Into It!
