Dr. Lucon received a B.S. degree from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT, in Mechanical Engineering in 2002. an M.S. degree from Montana Tech of the University of Montana, Butte, MT, in General Engineering in 2004, and a Ph.D. degree from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT, in Mechanical Engineering in 2013.

He worked as a mechanical engineer at Resodyn Corporation, Butte, MT from 2005 to 2009, where he developed models and control methodology the for the sonic drilling process, developed lumped parameter mathematical models for the ResonantAcoustic® Mixers and co-developed and verified a control scheme to find and track mechanical resonance of the ResonantAcoustic® Mixers. As a mechanical engineer, he was a Principal Investigator (PI) for 0.5 Million in Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grants. From 2009 to 2017, he served as a senior mechanical engineer at Resodyn Corporation, Butte, MT and from 2011 to 2017 he was the Director of Technology and Processing for Resodyn Acoustic Mixers, Butte, MT. During this time at Resodyn Corporation, he was PI for 3.0 Million in SBIR grants. He then accepted an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the General Engineering Department at Montana Tech, Butte, MT in 2017. He has been working in the field of Resonant Systems and Technology since 2005. His research interests include utilizing resonance in new applications and incorporating resonance in existing applications.

Dr. Lucon is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), International Neural Networks Society (INNS), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He is a licensed professional engineer (MT/15543). He is also an Audi Club of North America Member.
