Alumni Coliseum
Construction of the Alumni Coliseum, now the Alumni Field, began in 1960 and was completed in 1965. The Alumni Coliseum was intended to be used for football games and American Legion baseball games. The Butte Copper Kings, a professional baseball team, also used the field. The field was designed by architect Walter Hinick and built by Western Iron Works, Continental Concrete, and Cahill-Mooney Construction.
In 2007, reserved seating was added to the stadium to accommodate the increasing crowds that attend the Montana Tech Oredigger football games. Proceeds from the reserved seating are used to help support the salary of the assistant football coaching staff.
