Engineering Hall (ENG)
In 1923 the south wall of the gym was removed as a second building was constructed. This building followed Haire’s original design and doubled the building’s size. After much remodeling, the first floor contained large drafting room with 60 tables, a small auditorium, and a suite of offices. The second floor contained more offices, a file room, a blue-print room, and two additional drafting rooms. Today the building houses several academic and non-academic student support services. Career Services, the Dean of Students Office, and The Learning Center (TLC) occupy the north side of the first floor. Career Services assist students in preparing for and finding employment (both internships and permanent jobs after graduation). The Dean of Students Office provides counseling, international student support in addition to serving the role of advocate for students who need assistance. The Learning Center provides study-skills training and free tutoring to all students. The south side of the first floor houses interview rooms, used by companies and students to arrange internships and future employment, as well as a newly remodeled lab for the Professional and Technical Communication (PTC) program and a Usability Testing lab.

Engineering Hall was the third building erected and was originally a gymnasium. The building was designed by C.S. Haire and construction began in 1908. The building was completed in 1910.
The second floor provides office space for professors in the PTC department, classrooms and computer labs. There is also a graduate student office for students in the Technical Communication department. This office is also serving as the PTC Productions office while remodeling of the lab occurs. PTC Productions is a student-run program providing communications services, print production, and consulting both on and off campus.
