Potential Students
The Center for Advanced Mineral and Metallurgical Processing (CAMP) is actively seeking graduate students to complete their Masters of Science degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The Center currently has several research initiatives. Prospective students can acquire their Masters degree in approximately two years or less and do not require a Bachelors of Science degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Other disciplines, such as biology, chemistry, or other forms of engineering, are welcomed and encouraged to apply for several of the research positions at CAMP. The positions are fully funded with academic fees being paid plus a monthly stipend to the individual. By obtaining the Masters degree, companies are rewarding these individuals with salaries, along with job placement, significantly higher than persons with their Bachelors degrees.
The Center for Advanced Mineral and Metallurgical Processing is located on the campus of Montana Tech located in Butte, Montana. The area offers many benefits including excellent scenery, world class fishing, excellent skiing locations along and the opportunity to advance your career by doing research on new and emerging technologies within the mining and metallurgical educational fields. Finally, CAMP and Montana Tech participate in an international collaborations program that offers research abroad as part of the Masters degree.
If you have any questions or regards, please feel free to contact by email drule@mtech.edu or pmiranda@mtech.edu at anytime. The Center looks forward to hearing from prospective students.
